assumption-statue-smallAbove Our Lady’s altar, there is a beautiful marble statue honouring Our Lady’s Assumption. It was donated by the Dominican Sisters of Sion Hill community, which is located in our parish.

At the back of the church there is a stained glass window which also depicts the Assumption.

In the column opposite, we have some traditional prayers to Our Lady, Mother of Jesus, who is our mother too. Click on one if you would like to pray to Mary right now.

Daily Prayer: Hail Mary

At noon and 6 p.m.: The Angelus

For a special need: The Memorare

At any time: Hail Holy Queen

The ‘Magnificat’the prayer spoken by Mary when she visited her cousin Elizabeth, knowing that she was pregnant, carrying the child she would call Jesus. With its emphasis on social justice, these are regarded as the most radical lines that can be found anywhere in Sacred Scripture.
