Our Group:

This Group overseas liturgical planning for the year, especially special liturgies and the integration of music and art into the liturgy.  It provides co-ordination for the following groups:

  • Baptismal Team
  • Children's Choir
  • Children's Liturgy
  • Choir
  • Church Cleaners
  • Collectors/Stewards
  • Eucharistic Adoration
  • Funeral Support Group
  • Ministers of the Eucharist

January:prayer

Thurs. Jan. 26th St. Philip and St. James Church of Ireland, Cross Ave. 7.30 p.m. As  a prelude to the Lenten series of Ecumenical Talks, arranged by the Christian parishes of Booterstown, an ecumenical service has been arranged, to pray for social justice. This prayer sevice has been devised by St. Philip and St. James Church of Ireland, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Curch and the Parish of the Assumption.

FEBRUARY:

Wed, February 1st: 4th classes Parish schools attend 10.00 Mass to celebrate St. Brigid’s Day. 

Sunday, February 5th 11:15 a.m. Mass. Day for Consecrated Life.
We are very fortunate in Booterstown to have many religious communities, living among us, who play an active part in parish life.

 

During Mass on Feb. 5th. the religious attending ,will make a renewal of their committment to the consecrated life, in the presence of the congregation. Afterwards, they weill be invited to take home, one of the nightlights which have been lighting during the Mass.

 

There will be refreshments in the Parish Centre, after Mass, to which all the congregation, religious and lay, are invited.

Parish Bookshop:

 It is intended to open a Parish Bookshop which will be situated in the old Baptistery at the back of the church. The bookshop will stock theological and spiritual books.
