Recent Deaths

Michael Greene

We extend our very sincere sympathy to Catherine and Adele, the daughters of our parishioner, Michael Greene, who has died. We sympathize also with Michael’s extended family, his relatives, friends and longtime neighbours.   Michael was predeceased by his wife, Margot. Arrival to Church of the Assumption on Wednesday, 24th May at 9.50 am for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am.

Evelyn Sheehan

We are saddened to learn of the death of Evelyn Sheehan who died on May 15. Her remains will arrive at Booterstown Parish Church at 10.50 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 18. We extend our sympathy to Evelyn’s husband, Jimmy, daughter Alma and sons John and David and their extended family. May Evelyn rest in peace.

Kathleen McGovern

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Kathleen McGovern, Booterstown Avenue. We especially sympathize with her husband, Richard, her children, grandchildren,  extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours. Removal to Church of the Assumption on Monday, 8th May arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. May Kathleen Rest in Peace.

Maureen Tennant

We extend our sincere sympathy to the family of Maureen Tennant who has died. We expecially sympathise with her nephews, extended family, friends and former neighbours in Trimleston Gardens. Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Tuesday 9th May for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am.  May Maureen Rest in Peace.

Brendan Lamb

We extend our deepest sympathy to the Lamb Family on the death of their father, Brendan, a longtime resident of St. Helen’s Road.  We extend our sympathy to his sons, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.  Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown arriving for Requiem Mass on Friday, 5th May at 11 am.  May Brendan Rest in Peace.

Barry McCarthy

Our deep sympathy is extended to the family of Barry McCarthy, late of Mt. Merrion Ave. Due to Confirmations in our parish on Friday, April 28th, Barry’s remains arrive at the parish church at 8.50 a.m. ahead of Requiem Mass at 9 a.m, followed by funeral. We pray that he may rest in peace.

Irma Beatty

We are saddened by the death of our lifetime parishioner, Irma, late of Trimleston Gardens. We extend our sympathy to her family and friends. Irma’s remains rested in our parish church overnight on Wednesday ahead of her Requiem Mass at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday, April 27th, followed by her funeral. May Irma rest in peace.

Joan Feeney

We share the sorrow of Joan’s husband, Tom, and her children, her mother and family at the loss of Joan, late of Grove Avenue. Her remains rested in our church on Wednesday night ahead of her Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 27th, followed by her funeral. May Joan rest in peace.

Maeve McCartan

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Maeve McCartan, late of St. Helen’s Road. In particular we sympathise with her niece and her nephew, her friend Sheila and her friends and neighbours on St. Helen’s Road.  Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Thursday 20th April at 9.50 am for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. May Maeve Rest in Peace.

Myra (Mary) Staunton

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours of our parishioner, Myra Staunton, who had died. Myra was a former member of the parish Social Group and was renowned for her baking skills, especially for parish Cake Sales. Arrival to Church of the Assumption on Tuesday, 18th April at 9.50 am for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am.  May Myra Rest in Peace.
