Youth Ministry
Based in and motivated by Christ, the parish of the Assumption is committed to encouraging and affirming within each person an awareness of his/her relationship with Jesus, and his/her calling within the Christin community.
Ministry with and to young people takes place in many forms, in homes, schools, youth club, pilgrimages and parish - anywhere, people of faith recognise the gift of the Gospel and the gift of young people. The parish of the Assumption is committed to supporting Youth Ministry, to providing vision and leadership in effectively reaching and building our young church.

Team members organise the celebration of a Sunday Eucharist which is suited to the needs of families with younger children.
Young Choir:
This choir sings at the Family Mass each Sunday.
Altar Servers:
Altar servers assist the priest during the celebration of Mass, and other important sacramental moments in our lives.
Ministry of Welcome:
"Yours is the first of Christ's faces to greet God's people as we assemble for prayer.Your greeting of welcome is the first wish that "The Lord be with you."
Ministers of Welcome, welcome people to our parish. They help visitors find seats, show parents with small children where the 'colouring room' is and assist in handing out information sheets.
Ministry of the Word:
Yours is the task of telling our family story, the story of salvation.
You are the messenger of God's love for us.
Your task is to proclaim God's word,
which challenges, confronts, and captures our hearts.
Readers proclaim the very word of God to our parish week after week.
Faith Friends:
The Faith Formation Group in association with the students of the Froebel College plan, organise and run a series of faith sharing evenings for Confirmation candidates.
