DLR Library Book Drop

Lexicon Book Drop

Dun Laoghaire Library are offering a new book drop service to those cocooning. While audiobooks are available online, some may still prefer the joy of a physical book.

To avail of the service you can call the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Community Call Team on the new dedicated helpline, focused specifically on ensuring that the cocooning, elderly, vulnerable members of the community or those living alone can access deliveries of groceries, medicine, fuels and now the library book drop.

The Council staff will take details and a library staff member will then handle the referral, contacting you and organising library material for you. The staff member will have a chat about what you like to read, listen or watch and we will endeavour to find some suitable items and possibly a wildcard book too! (Specific requests are limited by availability of materials in Dun Laoghaire Lexicon Library)

This helpline can be reached at Freephone 1800 804 535 or 01 271 3199. Both lines open from 8am – 8pm. You can also email covidsupport@dlrcoco.ie
