Week of Prayer for Christian Community

January 18, 2018 all-day

This year the theme “That All May be Free” (Exodus 15), was chosen by the Christian communities in the Caribbean region. The scripture quotation reminds us that the road to unity must often pass through a communal experience of suffering. The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is a privileged moment of prayer, encounter and dialogue and an opportunity to recognise and receive the richness and value that are present in the other person, the different person, and to ask God for the gift of unity.

The inaugural service for the week will be interdenominatinal, and will take place in Our Lady of Good Counsel, Johnstown-Killiney on Thursday, January 18 at 8:00pm. Dr. Jessie Rogers, a scripture scholar, will give the sermon. Everyone is welcome to attend. Visit for further information.
