We offer you our prayers, our sympathy and our support in your bereavement. We are happy to assist you in every way possible in preparing and celebrating the funeral Mass for your loved one.
Your Undertaker will contact our Parish to arrange the funeral and any music you may have chosen. If you wish, arrangements can be made with our organist, Kevin Sheldrick, and one of our soloists for the funeral Mass.
Our Parish Funeral Support Team, including John McCarthy and Teresa Corrigan, pictured here, is here to assist you. When we have lost a loved one, it can be an invaluable comfort to have someone to talk to, or just to be there.
We can assist you in choosing the Scripture readings that you would find most helpful during the funeral Mass.
If you would like to make a simple Mass Leaflet to commemorate your loved one, you can download a Template in MS Word that may help you.
Once funeral arrangements have been made, we usually include the name of the deceased person and the time of the funeral Mass on our website.
Our Bethany Bereavement Support Group members are available to visit bereaved people who would like to have a listening ear in the weeks or months following their loss. (Bethany was the home of Martha and Mary, the family of Lazarus, the friend at whose tomb Jesus wept.) Our Bethany group also arranges a Mass during the month of November for all those whose funerals have taken place in our Parish during the year. To contact the Bethany group, please get in touch with our parish secretary, Therese O’Donoghue, Tel: +353 (0)1 283 1593 (9 am – 1.30 pm Tues – Fri) or use our Contact Form
Altar List of the Dead:
You can add the names of your deceased loved ones to our Altar List of the Dead. Mass is celebrated on the First Friday of each month for all those whose names are on this list. Envelopes for this purpose are left in the Church porch during October, or you can use our Contact Form
