Recent Deaths

Rosemary Sheehan

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of our parishioner, Rosemary Sheehan.  We extend our deepest sympathy to her husband Jimmy (James), to her children, grandchildren, her relatives, the extended family, friends and neighbours. Rosemary will be greatly missed by “The daily 10 o’clock Mass community in Booterstown” of which she was a committed member for many years. Removal on Monday, 6th August to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown arriving at 5.00 pm.  Rosemary’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 7th at 12 noon.  May Rosemary Rest in Peace.

Eileen O’Sullivan

It was with great sadness that that we heard of the death of our long-time parishioner, Eileen O’Sullivan. Eileen was a Minister of the Word in this church for many years as well as a committed and active member of the parish Social Group.  She will be greatly missed. We extend our deep sympathy to her sister, her nephew, the extended family, relatives and many friends.  Removal to Church of the Assumption on Monday, 23rd July arriving at 5.00 pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, 24th July at 10.00 am. May Eileen Rest in Peace.

Mary Quilligan

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of our parishioner, Mary Quilligan. We extend our deep sympathy to her children, her extended family, relatives, friends, neighbours and the “10 o’clock Mass Community” in Booterstown.  Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Thursday, 12 July arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 am.  May Mary Rest in Peace.

James (Jimmy) Gilsenan

It is with sadness that we learnt of the death of Jimmy Gilsenan, formerly of Booterstown, who has died. We extend our deepest sympathy to his children, the extended family, his relatives, friends and neighbours.  Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Wednesday, 11th July at 9.50 am for Requiem Mass at 10.00 o’clock. May Jimmy Rest in Peace.

Paul Mullins

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Paul Mullins, who was predeceased by his wife, the late Bid O’Connor Mullins just over a year ago.  We extend our deepest sympathy to his family and also to his stepchildren, his extended family and his very dear friends. Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Friday, 22nd June arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 am. May Paul Rest in Peace.

Audrey McVey

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of our parishioner, Audrey McVey, who was a very talented and committed member of the parish Altar Society (church Flower Committee).  We extend our deepest sympathy to her siblings, her children, grandchildren, extended family, relatives, and friends. Removal to Church of the Assumption on Thursday, 17th May arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. May Audrey Rest in Peace.

John Ryan

It was with great sadness that we received news of the death of our longtime parishioner, John Clement Ryan. We extend our sincere sympathy to his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.  John was a Minister of the Word in this parish for many years as well as a Cantor at 9.00 am Sunday Mass.  Removal to Church of the Assumption on Tuesday, 15th May for Requiem Mass at 1.00 pm. May John Rest in Peace.

Josephine (Josie) Anderson

We were saddened to learn of the death of our longtime parishioner, Josephine (Josie) Anderson. We extend our deepest sympathy to her children, her extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.  Removal to Church of the Assumption on Thursday, 3rd May arriving at 5.00 pm.  Requiem Mass on Friday, 4th May at 10.00 am. Dr. Joseph Cummiskey
