Recent Deaths

Ayleen Stacey

It was with sadness that we heard of the death of our parishioner, Ayleen Stacey. We extend our deep sympathy to her children, her grandchildren, her sister, her extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours. Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Thursday, 19th April arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. May Ayleen Rest in Peace.

Joseph (Joe) Parker

It was with sadness that we heard of the death of our longtime parishioner, Joseph (Joe) Parker. We extend our sincere sympathy to his wife, Marjorie, his children, his extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.  Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Friday 13th April arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. May Joe Rest in Peace.

Sr. de Porres, O.P.

It was with sadness that we heard of the death of Sr. de Porres, O.P., (Nora Harrington), Dominican Convent, Sion Hill.  We extend our deepest sympathy to the Dominican Community, especially the Sisters in Sion Hill. We extend our condolences also to the family, relatives and friends of Sr. de Porres. Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Wednesday, 11th April arriving for Requiem Mass at 2.00 pm.  May Sr. de Porres Rest in Peace.

Dr. Paul Michael Collins

It is with great sadness that we heard of the death of our longtime parishioner, Dr. Paul Collins.  We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife, his children, his parents and brothers, the extended family, relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbours.  Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Tuesday, 10th April arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 o’clock. Phyllis Devin

It is with sadness that we heard of the death of our long-time parishioner, Phyllis Devin. We extend our deepest sympathy to her sons and to her sister Betty. We extend our condolences also to her extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours. Removal to Church of the Assumption on Wednesday, 4th April arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. Laurence Desmond (Dessie) Murphy

It was with great sadness that we heard of the sudden but peaceful death of Dessie Murphy, founder and life member of Booterstown Parish Youth Club.  He will be remembered by the generations of young people who enjoyed participating in Dessie’s gymnastic classes and football games as well as Booterstown Parish Summer Project. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife, his sisters, his children, grandchildren, relatives, friends and neighbours.  Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Thursday 22nd March arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. Art O’Colmain

We were saddened to learn of the sudden death of our parishioner, Art O’Colmain.  Art was a church collector at the Vigil Mass for many years.  We extend our deepest sympathy to his mother, Maedhbh, his brothers and sisters, his extended family, relatives, friends and colleagues. Removal to Church of the Assumption on Monday, 12th March arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am.  May Art Rest in Peace.

Seamus Keenan

It is with sadness that we have learnt of the death of our long-time parishioner, Seamus Keenan. We extend our deep sympathy to his wife, Brenda, his children, grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.  He will be greatly missed by the “10 o’clock Mass community” in Booterstown.  Removal on Tuesday, 6th March to Church of the Assumption arriving at 5.30 pm.  Requiem Mass on Wednesday 7th March at 10.00 am.  May Seamus Rest in Peace.

Breda Raymond

It was with sadness that we learnt of the death of Breda Raymond. We extend our deepest sympathy to her son and daughter, her extended family, relatives and friends. Breda was an active parishioner and involved, until some years ago, as a volunteer with the parish Caring Group and the parish Funeral Team. Requiem Mass in Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Saturday, 24th February at 10.00 am. May Breda Rest in Peace.

Julety Valete

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Julety Valete, following an illness borne with great dignity.  We extend our deepest sympathy to her husband, Flobert her son, Julbert, her extended family, relatives and friends including her “Booterstown Friends”.  Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Wednesday 21st February arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 am.  May Julety Rest in Peace.
