Recent Deaths

Rev. Dr Eoin Gerard Cassidy

Cassidy, Rev. Dr Eoin Gerard (late of St Mary’s, Haddington Road and Mater Dei Institute), 10 March 2021 at The Fern Dean Nursing Home, Blackrock. Beloved brother of Máirín. Predeceased by his twin brother Brian, his mother Doris and his father James. Deeply regretted by his many friends, relatives and colleagues. Rest in Peace Fr Eoin. Due to current restrictions a private funeral will take place. Mae Kelly (née Smith)

Blackrock, Co. Dublin and late of Mullahoran, Co. Cavan. Mae, dearly beloved wife of Padraig O’Ceallaigh, loving mother of Seán, Fiona, Padraig, Fiachra and the late Grainne. Very sadly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sister Nancy, extended family and friends. Rest in Peace Mae. Message of condolences can be left here.
 

Theo Kerkhoff

Booterstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Uden, N. Brabant, The Netherlands. Peacefully, at home, in his 79th year following a long illness in the loving care of his family. Beloved husband of Roisin and loving father of Marianne and Jane. He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, sons-in-law Thomas and Dan, grandchildren Emily, Thomas, James and Anna, sisters Joke and Ria, extended family and friends. The family would especially like to thank all those who cared for Theo during his illness. Peacefully at home with his family at his side, Conal, beloved husband of Frances, loving father of Nicola, Conor, Fiona, David and John; Sadly missed by his wife, children and their partners Barry, Sarah, Paul, Annika and Ciara, his adored grandchildren Max, Jamie, Zoey, Ted, Holly and Ava, his brother Sean, sister Marie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends. Sandymount, Dublin 4 and formerly of Inishmaan Road, Whitehall, Commissioner of Irish Lights and Bolton Street College. January 25, 2021. Peacefully, following a long illness, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin 4. Beloved daughter of the late Daniel and Josephine. She will be very sadly missed by her cousins, loving friends, neighbours and all who knew and loved her. Rest in Peace Maura. Those who would have liked may leave a message in the condolences.

Marie Clifford

Booterstown and late of Woodview UCD and Ballybay, Co. Monaghan. Peacefully, at St Vincent’s Hospital. Beloved wife of the late William Clifford. Sadly, missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Austin and Conor; granddaughters Dearbhla and Aisling; daughters-in-law Marie and Sandra; her sisters Anna and Martina, brothers Mickey, Gerry, Sean and Paul; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family & large circle of friends. Betty Mulleady

Peacefully in the tender care of Belmont House Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Roy and much loved mother of Ruth, Eva, Julie and Laura. Very sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons-in-law John, Simon, Roddy and Jaime, grandchildren Maria, Roy, Jack, Robert, Caroline, Ana, Fionn and Liam, relatives and friends. Patrick (Addy) Murphy

St Helen’s Villas, Booterstown, Co. Dublin and late of Caherciveen, Co. Kerry. Predeceased by his wife Anne. Peacefully in St Vincent’s Hospital Dublin. Addy will be deeply missed by his sons Denis and John, daughter Kitty, son-in-law Richie, daughter-in-law Fiona, grandchildren Síobha, Sadbh, Fia, Anne and Faye, sisters Peggy and Breda, sister-in-law Christina, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Addy Rest In Peace. A private Funeral Mass took place in The Church of The Assumption, on Thursday with his  burial afterwards in Shanganagh Cemetery. Leave a message of condolence.

Mary Jennings (née O’Connor)

(Peacefully) in her 102nd year, surrounded by her loving family, in the tender care of the Little Sisters of the Poor at the Holy Family Residence, Roebuck Road, Clonskeagh. Beloved wife of the late Albert, and much loved mother of Kathleen, Pat and Dominic; she will be very sadly missed by her daughter, sons, her daughters-in-law Bríd and Louise, her seven adored grandchildren Amanda, David, Paul, Anna, Karen, Laura – Kate and Graham, and their partners Brian, Ruth, Stephen, Stephen, Alan and Thérèse, great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends. May Mary Rest in Peace. Her funeral mass took place Monday, January 11th, before her burial at Saint Maelruan Cemetery, Tallaght Village. Leave a private message of condolence for her family.

Peggy Muldowney (née Phelan)

Peacefully, at home with her beloved family after a long illness worn lightly and with her characteristic grace. Deeply regretted by Frank, her husband of sixty-five years, her eight children Peter, William, Maeve, Margaret, Hilary, James, Kathy and Fleur, her sons and daughters in law who loved her so much, her twenty grandchildren whom she cherished, and her most recent and happy blessing, her great grand-daughter Daisy Kate. Her calm and wise counsel will be missed by many, particularly her treasured siblings Ellen, Hendy, Breda and Bill, and her wide circle of friends. May Peggy Rest in Peace.
