Recent Deaths

Breda Raymond

It was with sadness that we learnt of the death of Breda Raymond. We extend our deepest sympathy to her son and daughter, her extended family, relatives and friends. Breda was an active parishioner and involved, until some years ago, as a volunteer with the parish Caring Group and the parish Funeral Team. Requiem Mass in Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Saturday, 24th February at 10.00 am. May Breda Rest in Peace.

Julety Valete

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Julety Valete, following an illness borne with great dignity.  We extend our deepest sympathy to her husband, Flobert her son, Julbert, her extended family, relatives and friends including her “Booterstown Friends”.  Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Wednesday 21st February arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 am.  May Julety Rest in Peace.

Ann Maxwell

It was with sadness that we heard of the death of our parishioner, Ann Maxwell. We extend our deepest sympathy to her children, her extended family, relatives and friends. Removal to Church of the Assumption on Monday, 19th February arriving at 10.50 am for Requiem Mass at 11.00 am.  May Ann Rest in Peace.

George Harnett

It is with regret that we have heard of the death of our parishioner, George Harnett. We extend our deep sympathy to his wife, Mireille, his children Reamonn and Melanie, his extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours on Hyde Park Avenue. Removal to Church of the Assumption on Wednesday, 7th February arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. May George Rest in Peace.

Stella Scully

It was with deep sadness that we learnt of the death of  Stella Scully, our long-time parishioner, who died peacefully on 29th January.  We extend our sincere sympathy to her sons, her extended family, relatives, friends, carers and neighbours.    Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Saturday, 3rd February arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am.  May Stella Rest in Peace.

James (Jim Harlowe)

It is with great sadness that we have heard of the sudden but peaceful death of our parishioner, James (Jim) Harlowe. Jim was a volunteer in this church and a collector at 9.00 am Sunday Mass for many years. We extend our deepest sympathy to his sister, brother, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours. Removal to Church of the Assumption on Wednesday, 31st January arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.30 am. May Jim Rest in Peace.

James (Jim) Mac Sweeney

We have learned with sadness of the peaceful death of our parishioner, James (Jim) Mac Sweeney. We extend our deep sympathy to his sons, Fergus and Raymond (Ray), his extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours. Removal to Church of the Assumption on Wednesday, 31st January arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. May Jim Rest in Peace.

Christopher Kearns

It is with sadness that we have learnt of the death of our long-time parishioner, Christopher Kearns. We extend our deep sympathy to his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours in McCabe Villas. Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Friday, 26th January arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 o’clock. May Christopher Rest in Peace.

Dr. Kathleen Ryan

The death has occurred peacefully of former parishioner, Dr. Kathleen Ryan, a beloved sister, cousin, aunt, friend and Godmother. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and friends. Removal to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown on Saturday, 20th January arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am.  May Kathleen Rest in Peace.

Sean Dunne

It is with great sadness that we heard of the unexpected death of our parishioner, Sean Dunne who was a very committed member of this parish. We extend our deep sympathy to his wife, Geraldine, children Cormac, Louise, Lorcan and Stephen; his extended family, relatives, friends, colleagues, students, friends and neighbours.  Removal to the Church of Our Lady, Queen of Peace, Merrion Road on Friday, 22nd December arriving at 6.00 pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, 23rd December at 10.00 am.  Rest in Peace Sean.
